What does it mean to lead your chapter members?

It means that the chapter members look to you for guidance and support.  The members have an expectation that you will run the BNI program as defined by BNI as that is what they have paid a membership fee for.

Training and orientation is required for all Leadership Team roles.

Most roles have a BNI Business Builder and BNI Online component.

We are pleased to offer 4 options for the BNI LT Online Orientation. The four options allow for different time zones to work with members in British Columbia and Indiana.

We recommend that your chapter's Leadership Team attends the same orientation session but, you are also welcome to register for the orientation time and date that works best for you.

Who Is Required To Attend One Of The Orientation Sessions?

  • Presidents
  • Vice Presidents
  • Secretary Treasurers
  • All Membership Committee Members
  • Education Coordinators
  • Mentor Coordinators
  • Visitor Host Coordinators
  • Communication Coordinators
  • DnA Regional Support Team Members

Who Else Would Benefit By Attending Orientation and Should Register?

  • All Visitor Hosts Team Members
  • All Passport Member Mentors (10 per chapter)

  • Register for only ONE date and time
  • Orientation Sessions are 3 hours
  • Note: times are in PDT for British Columbia and EDT for Indiana

You Might Be Wondering...

To take on a leadership role do I have to actually have to attend one of the orientation sessions prior to taking on the role?

Yes. This is a condition of taking on the role.

Is there a cost to orientation?

There is no cost however, if you register and do not show without prior notice you will be invoiced for $25.

What if none of the times work for me?

We will not be holding any make up sessions. We have 750 members that require orientation and have 4 possible sessions that can be registered for. You may have to reconsider taking on the role this year and look at taking a role next year.

I already know my role - do I really need to take the orientation again?

Yes, all members of the Leadership Team are required to take both the assigned role specific online course in BNI Business Builder and any eye-to-eye BNI Online orientation that is being offered regardless of completing it in past years.

Will I need to be on video throughout the orientation?

Yes, part of taking the orientation through BNI Online is being visible (Remember VCP®). Being present and engaged is part of the orientation.
